I was using Apple’s Pages and exporting to PDF for preparing print ready books for my printer but needed to start doign PDF”s for Amazon’s CreateSpace service. I needed a tool that would let me take a high quality uncompressed image PDF file and reduce the file size to fit into CreateSpaces size limit and with the 300 dpi option this tool gave me what I needed for a fraction of the cost of the full Adobe software.

Crashes everytime I try to use it on OS X 10.9. Worthless. Don’t buy it.

Simply wanted to combine two or more PDF files into on on my Mac Air with Mavericks — would cost $499 to purchase Acrobat Pro X1, PDF Toolkit + does the same thing and more for $1.99 — bye bye Adobe Acrobat!

My main use for Adobe Pro was the ability to merge and unmerge files. This solved that issue for under $3. Why pay HUGE Adobe prices? Thank you for this app!

I export PDFs with graphics in “Best” quality, and they’re usually over 4 MB. Using this program’s “High Quality” level, I dropped the size to less than 800 KB (less than ¼ the size) and I couldn’t tell the difference in quality, even after zooming in really deep. I love this app! It saves me and my readers with slow internet tons of time during upload & download. Well worth the $2 for me!

This program does it all for PDF’s. I love that it will let me take several PDF’s and merge them into a single PDF. Where I goet the most out of this program though is in the compression mode. I have to send large, multi page PDF’s via e-mail. Many times the files were too large and I had to send numerous e-mails, breaking up the PDF into several files. Not anymore!! Simply drag your PDF into the program and choose the level of compression. I recently compreesed a 22MB PDF into 2.1MB, with no visual loss of quality. This is an essential must have program!

I love this app and I am glad I purchased it, but I think a nicer icon would make it top notch, people tend to judge apps by their (icon) looks, me included. Nobody would ever think this is such a great app by looking at its icon. Please take this as constructive criticism. App shoppers, please do buy this app, it does what it says! <3

I needed to extract several images from a PDF. The app was able to extract maybe 10% of the images in the PDF. I suggest you try a different app.

I purchaed this soley to compress PDF files created by my mac. My 17.9 MB file was compressed to 16.4MB, not exactly what I was expecting. Hopefully, I find a reason to combine and/or extract pages from PDFs.

I don’t know WHAT this program is supposed to do. “Concatenate” REALLY????????!!!!!!!! Oh, it would have been too easy to say “link”? I just want a program that’s equivalent to iAnnotate. For some reason, Mac has NOTHING like it, including this. This is supposed to be an “awesome toolkit”. For what?! If I bring a file over for one function, it is not available for a second function. Not helpful even a little, and NOT free. I’d have had a more charitable review if even some of the tools were worthwhile.

After fiddling around for hours in Preview trying to compress PDFs for an email, I gave up and found this in the app store. Wish I had known about it sooner! In less than two minutes from purchasing I had the job finished and sent off. Wish all apps were this good at what they do.

This application works great for most basic needs like combining, splitting and extracting pages, compressing your scanned documents, extracting text, images or converting PDF to a graphic file. The key point is that the application is simple, easy to use and work flawlessly.

I purchased this strictly to compress large PDFs to send via email. First off, it converts the PDF to a JPEG, which is not what I wanted nor would I have purchased this if I knew beforehand. Secondly, I tried to compress a 2.2MB and every option it provided (high, medium, and low) resulted in a 2.2MB file. Thanks for converting my file into the same file for $2! I did not try the other functions.

So far, so good. Does exactly what I need in a PDF app to manipulate the file to make it what I want. Nice job.

This is a very good app to do pdf manipulations with a good price.

This program is a MUST HAVE if you are doing anything with pdfs. We use it all of the time in conjunction with the Print To Pdf option on the Print Menu. We have been using this in our business for over two years and it has worked flawlessly. And it is incredibly easy to use.

I purchased it because I needed a tool to compress PDFs in order to send them via email. I had Adobe Acrobat Pro, but realized that I was only using it to reduce the file size of pdfs. So instead of upgrading, I decided to give this tool a try. For $1.99 this is a no brainer if you work with PDFs. My system is a Mac mini 2014 with Yosemite 10.10.1.

At $2.99 this app is a bargain. Works flawlessly and never disappoints me! I have many pdf apps for iOS and the mac (I’ve spent $$$ on apps), and always come back to this one, which was one of the first apps I purchased when the app store opened. Keep it up!

I was hoping to extract a particular vector image from a PDF and purchsed this app accordingly. I later learned that this app is intended to extract bitmap images, like photos and cannot “get at” clipart. However, when I emailed support, they went well beyond the call of duty to pinpoint my problem and help me accomplish my goals. Despite the fact that this app doesn’t do exactly what I hoped (and this should, perhaps, be detailed in the description for those of us who are less savvy), I did find it easy to use, and I expect there will be other times when it comes in handy. The responsiveness and initiative of the support team make me eager to recommend them and try their products again.

Essentially, this does everything it says it does and worked exactly as described! The only Con I have is that I would love to see a few more options available for things like being able to edit the metadata on the file you save and such. Otherwise, I think the ‘+’ in the title is a little over-boastful.
